JM Care Plus

Welcome to JM Care Plus, our new specialist supported living service designed to cater for adults with complex needs. JM Care Plus provides enhanced support for individuals with profound learning disabilities (see below) and/or mental illnesses. These individuals often experience high levels of anxiety and emotional distress, and present behaviours that can be challenging for them and staff to manage. We always aim to deliver the safest and most positive outcomes.

JM Care has been successfully operating in the greater Southend area in Essex since 2006. We have vast experience in providing safe, effective, caring and responsive person-centred supported living services and now support nearly 50 vulnerable adults with troubled histories. Many have happily settled under our care and guidance after repeated failed placements with other providers.

JM Care Plus staff are rigorously vetted, highly trained and flexible, with constant access to experienced JMC management support and guidance. This means they can deal caringly and effectively with whatever challenges may arise and learn lessons to improve practice in future. Staff work collaboratively with each service user and other involved parties, including relatives, friends and social/healthcare professionals, always operating within a responsible risk taking framework. We can facilitate a range of therapeutic treatments such as CBT and DBT. Our approach is to help clients learn to manage their difficult emotions through allowing themselves to experience, recognise and accept them and, over time, to lessen their negative impact.
