Keyworker Services
Every client is assigned a keyworker early on in the placement with JMC.
In our system the keyworker’s role is to offer the identified service user an extra element of individual support so as to build more confidence and to help them feel more valued.
The keyworker will interact closely with the client to achieve a deeper level of understanding of the individual and advocate for them where necessary. Applied in a subtle and low-key way, this method has been found to be effective in helping clients achieve more rapid progress towards their goals and settling into their new lives.
Keyworkers have weekly meetings with their assigned service user and make full reports which are later discussed with management.
The keyworker assists with such things as:
- Arranging community activities
- Arranging college and further education
- Personal goal planning
- Complaints and concerns
- Accompanying on outings
- Support with shopping
